Hundreds gather for nightly iftar at Pattanicheri Mosque

Throughout the blessed month of Ramadan, hundreds of fasting worshippers gathered each evening at Pattanicheri Mosque in Vavuniya to break their fast together. Warm, freshly prepared meals were served nightly through the Foundation's Iftar Meal Project.

Beyond the food itself, the programme created a space of unity, bringing together elders, children, travellers and low-income families around a shared table every single night of the month.

Our seasonal programmes are made possible by donors who sponsor iftar meals and Ramadan food packs. Their generosity ensures that no one in the community has to break their fast alone or go without nourishment during the holy month.
