Community Empowerment Project

Helping families stand on their own two feet.

Real, sustainable development begins when people are empowered to stand on their own. The Community Empowerment project helps individuals and families build sustainable livelihoods through skills, livelihoods and entrepreneurship.

Through vocational training, micro-enterprise support, small business grants and women's empowerment, ALKUF equips people to earn sustainable livelihoods, so they no longer have to depend on relief.

Each success story is a family moving from dependence to independence, a real step towards a more self-sufficient and hopeful society.

Key interventions

  • Vocational Training: tailoring, carpentry, electrical work, food processing and more.
  • Micro-Enterprise Support: seed capital, equipment and business guidance.
  • Women Empowerment: helping women set up home industries and gain independence.
  • Youth Development: career guidance and skills programmes to tackle unemployment.
